Rhythm & Strings - Intro to Guitar
About the program…
A 6 week long group guitar lesson designed for people of all ages; offering you or your child an in-depth introduction to the guitar. In this program you'll start from scratch and learn how to hold the guitar, how to play the guitar, how to maintain it and keep it in tune, you'll learn basic chords, proper strumming and picking technique, foundational music theory concepts, and at the end of the program you'll be able to play through a popular song with a group of your peers.
Program requirements…
For the Intro to Guitar group lesson you will need to have your own guitar, either acoustic or electric. If you have an electric guitar then you will need to bring your own practice amp with a headphone jack and headphones in order to take part in the lessons. No instruments, amplifiers, or headphones will be provided by Rhythm & Strings.

The Rhythm & Strings Intro to Guitar group lesson program is offered in partnership with the Billerica Recreation Department at 248 Boston Road, Billerica, MA 01821 with classes hosted on Saturday afternoons beginning in April 2024.

Rhythm & Strings - Youth Rock Band (no experience or instruments necessary)
About the program…
A 6 week long group music lesson for kids ages 8 - 18; offering your child a chance to pick up a new instrument and learn the basics; such as proper playing technique, the fundamentals of music theory, basic care and maintenance of the musical instruments, and the best part is they'll enjoy walking away from the program with the confidence and ability to play through a song with a band of their peers.
Instruments to be provided include:
acoustic guitar
electric guitar
bass guitar
keyboard
drum set
vocal microphone(s)
Class size is limited to 10.
